Rights Based Development

This presentation, given to graduate students at Eastern University, was done by Lowell Ewert, Director of Peace and Conflict Studies at Conrad Grebel University College, University of Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Lowell begins with a brief history of the development of human rights conventions and discusses “unintended consequences” of these documents for states, corporations and civil society actors.
Note, it was recorded using a virtual classroom and questions came in written and verbal form from participants who were logged on to the classroom.
